Court of Protection Paralegal
Location: The ideal location for this role is our Southampton office; however, alternative office locations may be considered for candidates with suitable experience

Our specialist Court of Protection team provides expert advice and support for individuals who lack capacity to make decisions about their personal welfare, health, and financial matters. The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our growing Court of Protection team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in mental capacity law and supporting vulnerable clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting solicitors with the management of property and affairs deputyships and personal welfare cases.
- Drafting legal documents, applications to the Court of Protection, and correspondence with clients, the court, and third parties.
- Liaising with clients, family members, care providers, and professionals involved in the care and financial management of clients.
- Attending meetings and court hearings where appropriate.
- Maintaining accurate records and case management systems.
- Supporting fee earners
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a Court of Protection or private client role is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive issues with empathy and professionalism.
- A law degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Experience using case management systems (e.g., Proclaim or similar) is an advantage.
